Estee Lauder Daywear Moisturiser with SPF 15

Estee Lauder DayWear is great for normal / combination skin. The texture is quite thick, but not oily, which is great for anyone who has oily skill like me. Even though it is thick, its really light and I find that it absorbs well into my skin. At the moment, this is £40.00 for a 50ml tub which is pretty good value for money.

It was voted 'InStyle Best Beauty Buys 2013 - Best Moisturiser with an SPF'

They have recently changed the style of the tub, and the original tub that I have is a 75ml one, so I'm not sure if maybe the price / size was changed now the style of the packaging has changed.

All in all, I think that if you are after a good value moisturiser, then this is a good buy. Always a good one to keep in the house :)

Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder

Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Power.

I use this powder in Pale Yellow (shade 1) as I have such pale skin. I also have very oily skin which is the main reason I use this in the first place.

I have been using this stuff for about 2 years now, on and off, I have found a few things inbetween, but always end up coming back to this powder. It's good value for money as an every day product.

Benetint cheek and lip stain

Benetint is a gorgeous cheek and lip stain/tint by Benefit. If like me, you want a natural 'tint' to your lips without the faf of lipstick and lipgloss, then this is the product for you.

I will admit, I very rarely use this as a cheek tint. The main issue with this as a cheek tint / stain is that I find you can't really wear this over foundation. Whenever I have tried to wear this over foundation, I have found that it just smudges my foundation and goes a weird texture.

However, as a lip tint, it is a totally different story. This stuff is great for adding a very natural colour to your lips that will last all day, unlike lipstick. The main reason I like this is in this wintery weather, my hair blows all over my face, and if I wear lipstick or lipgloss, my hair quickly gets stuck in my lipcolour, but not this with! And it lasts for ages. Defiantly well worth your money.

And if you do want something with a bit more 'pop', add your lipstick over the top for a bright, long lasting colour :)

Shu Uemura's classic high performance balancing cleansing oil

To kick start my blog, I thought I would start with something just as important as make up application, make up removal. I am a classic abuser of my skin when it comes to forgetting to take off my make up in the evenings. So I need something that is easy and quick, which is why I love Shu Uemura's classic high performance balancing cleansing oil.

This cleanser is the most amazing make up remover. It is oil based, so it takes off even the most stubborn make up, including eye liner and mascara. The bottle recommends using 3/4 pumps of this amazing stuff to take off your make up, but 1/2 pumps is more than enough!

You can also get little samples of this from stores, like Harvey Nics, so can you try before you buy.
There is a complete range of these cleansers for different skin types, but for me, with combination skin, this one is perfect.

Welcome To My Blog!

Hello and welcome to my first ever blog!

I have decided to create this blog because I love make-up and everything to do with make-up.

I am not a make-up artist, and I have no make up qualifications, but I have tried a number of different products and brands over the years and I want to share my experiences, good and bad, with who ever would like to read about them.

The High End Make-up Girl will focus primarily on high-end make up products. I will also look at some bargains on the market, but I have very sensitive, spot prone skin, so I am always so fussy with the products I put on my face.

I think that everyone has the right to feel beautiful in their own skin. You don't need make up to do this, but we all need a little bit of help sometimes ;)

I hope you enjoy this blog!
