Benefit : Browzings

Benefit Browzings is a great set for instantly well groomed brows. Each set comes with two products, a sort of gel and a powder. The set also comes with two mini brow brushes and a tiny set of tweezers!

Use the gel based product first to shape your brows, then fill in any patches with the powder. The great thing about this powder is that is can also be used as an eye shadow! So you get even more value for your money.

I really like this set. The colours match my brows really well so they look natural. If you like to have really obvious brows I would say this isn't really the product for you. You can layer a fair bit, but the look is still pretty natural.

Like all other benefit products, Browzings has a very reasonable price tag. The set lasts ages. I wear mine every day and I've been using it for around 8 months. I still
Have a good few months left in there too!

This is a great starter set or for anyone who likes a natural brow look.

Creme de la Mer : The Eye Concentrate

Potentially one of the best eye creams on the market? I know a few other people who have tried this out and have felt exactly the same!

The Eye Consentrate is  to help minimize the appearance of dark circles, surface discolorations and unevenness.

The eye concentrate comes with a little stick that has a metal ball on the end to massage the product into your skin. Of course you don't have to use this, but it feels really nice.

When applying eye cream, make sure to apply it no higher than the cheek bone. Your product will be strong enough to make a difference without putting it any higher. Never put eye cream on the lids of your eyes either. This skin is much thinner and eye creams are too strong for this area.

So boring bits over, what makes this cream so amazing you ask? It has INSTANT effects. I know what you are thinking, but it really does. I call this product magic in a tub. It smells amazing too.

You can use this day or night, creme de la mer believe that 'skin is skin' so you don't really need day and night products. I only use this during the day, as I don't really see the point of using it at night time, but that's just personal preference.

It is pretty expensive considering the size of the pot, but you really don't need much and if you only use it in the morning, it will last double the time ;)

The cost of this magic in a tub is £130 for 15ml. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. If your not convinced, go along to a counter and they will give you a little sample to try.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner

I wanted to do another eyeliner blog as my last review wasn't great.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner does exactly what it says on the tin! If you want eye liner that will last you all day and well into the night, this is the perfect eyeliner.

They have a great range of colours and this violet ink colour has a dash of purple, which if you have any green in your eyes, looks amazing.

When applying, you need to take a small amount out of the tub (remember to reapply the lid straight away or it does dry out) and put it on the back on your hand. I'd suggest using the end of a make up brush. Then apply with an eye liner brush. It's really easy and looks great. The eye liner is really think, so you really don't need much at all.

You can buy the eye liner brush from
Bobbi brown, but they are really expensive, any eye liner brush will do the trick

ESPA : Replenishing Face Treatment Oil

Although I have spot prone skin, I also suffer from areas of really dry skin too. Normally I use bio oil in the evenings before bed to try and reduce flaking and also to add hydration. However, I came across ESPA Replenishing Face Treatment Oil and decided to give it a try.

The oil is really light, and unlike bio oil, I feel it is light enough to put on in the morning and not make your face feel super oily.  The products are all made of very pure extracts, so you know you are putting something good on your skin.

You only need a few drops to cover your face, so this 28ml bottle will last you months! I really like the smell of this face oil, it has extracts of avocado and Patchouli, however my fiancé thinks that it smells like mould...

But moving on from that…I think this is a great product. It's all natural and works a treat. My face feels so smooth after use, so if you have dehydrated skin, or have fine lines starting to appear, I would defiantly recommend giving this beautiful face oil a try!
Price : £53 for 28ml

Shu Uemura : Liquid eye Liner

This month I decided to invest in a new eye liner. I had seen the Shu Uemura liquid eye liner being used at Harvey Nichols and decided to give it a try.

It is unlike any other eye liner I have used before. It comes as TWO separate parts. The actual pen and a cartridge, almost like an old school fountain pen!! There is a little button on the bottom of the pen which you press when you want more eye liner to flow through the pen.

Price wise I think it's pretty cheap. £12 for the pen and then £12 for the cartridge.

Although I liked the idea of this eye liner, I have to admit I am a bit disappointed with it. The ink is never as black as I would really like it to be, even though I spend time clicking the bottom furiously. It looks cool, and its a great idea, but needs more work. I wouldn't buy this again :(

Creme de la Mer : The Gel Cream

Wow it has been a long time since I wrote a post! Happy New Year (even though it is almost the end of January)

So to kick start the New Year, I want to talk about Creme de la Mer. I had been considering getting this stuff for ages, and in October I decided to go for it.

I went to the counter in Harvey Nichols and was pampered and spoiled for choice! I decided on The Moisturizing Gel Cream over the traditional face cream.

I decided to do this because I wanted something that would be light on my skin, and not oily (even though the other creams are not oily at all) I really liked the texture, more like a serum that a face cream, and found it went over my skin so nicely!

The container this comes in is exactly the same as the normal face cream, so if you are considering this, make sure you pick up the right one, although I am sure you will not be disappointed with any of the products from the range.

Price wise, it is pretty steep. A 30ml tub of this is £105. But I got mine back in October, and I use it every morning, and I'm still going strong! (about 50% down)

Is it worth the cost? I have been really happy with this. I find that as soon as I put it on, my pores look reduced in size and my skin has a more even feel.

Would I buy this again? YES. I think it is perfect for summer or people with really oily skin. I think that even though my skin is quite oily, it could still do with a little tiny bit more moisture in the winter months. So I think over the winter, stick with the original cream, and change over to this as the sun starts shining :)

Estee Lauder Daywear Moisturiser with SPF 15

Estee Lauder DayWear is great for normal / combination skin. The texture is quite thick, but not oily, which is great for anyone who has oily skill like me. Even though it is thick, its really light and I find that it absorbs well into my skin. At the moment, this is £40.00 for a 50ml tub which is pretty good value for money.

It was voted 'InStyle Best Beauty Buys 2013 - Best Moisturiser with an SPF'

They have recently changed the style of the tub, and the original tub that I have is a 75ml one, so I'm not sure if maybe the price / size was changed now the style of the packaging has changed.

All in all, I think that if you are after a good value moisturiser, then this is a good buy. Always a good one to keep in the house :)
